The History of Scouting in Milford Haven

The Original troops were started up in the early 60s and were eventually the biggest group in the country.
They had many diverse activities from potholing, go karting, foreign exchanges.
The sea scouting exploits included canoeing, rowing , sailing and many other seaborne activities.
Many camps and Jamboree's have gone under the bridge since the 60s, as have old friends.
Covid years
During the years of the Covid lockdowns, like all other organisations we were closed during the lockdowns. during this time there were No in person meet ups and all Scouting was done virtually, this was very difficult for all involved but the leaders did their best to keep sections active.
Because of the lockdowns the number of beaver's, cub's, scouts and leaders that returned after were greatly reduced. this caused a massive strain not just on our troop but on all scouting in the UK.
thankfully with a group of dedicated leaders and the slow return to normality the hut was able to survive the covid lockdowns.
2021 - current

We have done a number of activities and increased our section size to its current maximum. With a large number continuing on to cubs. We have a diverse and varied activities we provide that builds skills and varies activity's the Beavers do.
